  4. Peulvruchten, noten en pinda’s (Legumes, nuts, and peanuts): This section highlights the benefits of legumes, nuts, and peanuts as sources of protein, fiber, healthy fats, and various micronutrients.

  5. Vlees, vis, eieren en eiwitproducten (Meat, fish, eggs, and egg products): This section emphasizes the importance of lean protein sources for muscle growth and repair. Meat, fish, eggs, and egg alternatives are included in this category.

The Schijf van Vijf recommends that individuals consume adequate amounts from each food group daily to ensure a balanced and nutritious diet. The specific portion sizes vary depending on age, gender, and activity level. The Voedingscentrum provides personalized recommendations based on individual needs.
